My biggest baddest bucket list. Kerry Leese not giving up on a dream

*If you don’t have the time/inclination to read this, you’re busy I understand! Please just follow the instructions at the end. Don’t worry, I’m not asking for money, just a click!*

In order to follow one dream I thought that I’d have to give up on another.

I want to travel the world and I want to work in an industry that often requires women to be of a certain age.

Now that I’m self employed, it’s harder for me to travel the world. Unless I can follow both dreams at the same time but that takes a lot of money that I’m unlikely to have before retirement.

MyDestination Isle of White stepped in.

I received a tweet from them telling me about a travel presenter opportunity.

My BBB

Considering how much ‘travel’, ‘presenter’ and ‘opportunity’ appeal to me, I didn’t look into it for an hour or two.

I felt nervous, as silly as that might sound. I didn’t want it to be a prank.

I didn’t want to look into the details and realise that they described my wildest dreams. Weird no?

Have you ever come across an opportunity that ticks so many boxes of your “If I had a magic wand…” list?

The reason that it took me a while to look at the link was that I was worried that this opportunity could realise so many of my dreams.

What’s the Marianne Williamson quote?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”

I can relate to that. It scary to give EVERYTHING and have no excuses if you fail.

I was worried that I’d try with all my heart.

The Prize

What’s the fuss all about? I could win:

•six months all expenses paid travel

•presenting and blogging about my travels

Tick, tick and tick those boxes!

I’m getting a bit shaky just thinking about it.

My bit

Now you know why I went to Valencia, this weekend. To make a video about the city and it’s massive fiesta Fallas. I’ve also written an account of my awesome trip to Cayo Guillermo, one of Cuba’s stunning keys as my entry for the competition, not forgetting three photos. Why not check them out?  You’ll get to experience the party and learn something too!

Your bit- IMPORTANT

I need you to press a button to help. Don’t worry, it won’t ‘eliminate’ any of the competition, I promise!

All you have to do is click on this link, scroll down you’ll find my entry and please vote by pressing on the buttons (this is what they look like, but you’ll have to go to the page for it to work.

Please encourage your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, random strangers to do the same and you can also add this badge to your website by copying and pasting the code
